After graduating from VKV Koç Private High School, Simla Güran completed her degree in Political Science and International Relations at Bahçeşehir University. During her university years, she gained internship experience in marketing communications across various sectors and began working as the Marketing Communications Manager at Güran Machine Co. to support her father. She gained experience in all processes of the company from sales to marketing and developed various marketing strategies, striving to bring an innovative perspective to the company. One of the issues she prioritized was sustainability, through which she started integrating sustainable practices into the company's operations and conducted research in the fields of Green and Sustainable Construction. During this process, she added new representatives to the company and made agreements with firms like Kehan Ecology and CK International. Meanwhile, she began working at WWF-Turkey (World Wildlife Fund) as the education program coordinator and continued her work there for two years. Due to her love for cinema and art, she joined the Sustainable Living Film Festival team and worked with them throughout the festival season. She then continued her work as a festival coordinator and sponsorship coordinator at various film, music, and theater festivals. She began producing films and theater plays by establishing her own production company. She continues her works in the arts and culture sector and often provides project based support as a marketing consultant for Güran Machine.
